In Loving Memory of
Megan Marie Elliott

Tears Of Rain

Her smile lingers
Ever so gently
In my memory

The colors of the sky
are deep and passionate
The multi-colored butterflies
resemble her eyes.

Yet there is this gaping hole
in my body
A mass of pain - sore to the touch.

From this pain I search for the answers
to questions I cannot describe in words.

Combinations of emotions bonding
together to form a battered barrier.

Within I hold my memories.
Simple things that touch so deep.

I hold on to these immaterial possessions.
I keep them close in my heart.
Her face... her hair... her life.

The spring air is harsher this year.
A fresh scent masked with salty tears.
We smile, we look away...
We whisper her name...

No words can describe Megan's 16 years of life. No words can describe how much we love her and miss her. No words can ever make this pain disappear or her memory fade away. Jessica Durbin
