This is a memorial for Michele Gannon. She was only 54 when she was finally able to leave her pain behind. She survived for six long years after she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She was my mother.
Michele Gannon was a great friend to so many people. She was just a tiny little woman (4'10") but her huge heart was always open. She was always ready to hear a good joke, find humor where there was loss. She even found humor in her own impending death.
Mom, I think about you every single day. I cannot even begin to describe the loss that we all feel being on this earth without you. You were truly the light of all of our lives.
You are a part of me and that will make me strong and beautiful, just like you.
Michele (Mickey, Mishka, Mommy, Marmalay) Miriam Gannon
