In Loving Memory of
Travis D. Osborne 1985-2002

Travis was a very special person. He always had a way to make you laugh, even if he wasnt intending on making you laugh, he did anyhow. He was always there for his friends even though he suffered great losses in 2001, His cousin and his best friend died within 2 months of eachother. Aidan was 20, Russ 19. Travis seemed to have pushed through it but those of us close to him could tell that there was more to his emotions than he was showing. In April of 2002, Travis put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger. He lost 4 pints of blood. Although he lost so much blood and suffered a severe gun shot wound to the head leaving 4 scars on his face and neck from where the bullet weaved in and out, he lived. We all thought we were in the clear, for god spared the one we all loved. For 5 1/2 months we grew closer to Travis and grew to love him even more, thinking that God had a very special plan for him. We all spent a lot of time with him, we got him talked in to going back to school, he changed his life around. On September 26, 2002 Travis came to school and was just like he always was, making people laugh and not doing his work. I realized that he had been taking pills with some of his close friends but I didnt realize how many and how often. Travis came to get me from school at 12:30. We went to his house so he could show me his new dog. He told me that we needed to hang out more often and to come over to his house anytime. We went to my house and I could tell that he had been taking pills but I didnt say anything to him about it. He got me to believe that if he could survive such a traumatic gun shot wound to the head, He could survive anything. My normal ride to school was sick and Travis said he would pick me up the next day. I got up and got ready when I was up stairs I heard the phone ring and i just let the answering machine pick it up. I heard the message, It was my mom "CORTNI, PICK UP THE PHONE!!!" "CORTNI" " CORTNI PLEASE PICK UP THE PHONE." I went downstairs and picked up the phone. "Cortni, sit down please." I freaked, I figured that something had happened to my Grandparents or something, I have never been so wrong, next my mom preceded to tell me that Travis had died the night before of and overdose. His funeral was very nice, All the people that loved Travis came together to say goodbye to somebody that we almost had to say goodbye to 5 1/2 months ago. He donated everything he could, all of his organs were to damaged to donate but he gave his eyes, the skin off of his back and his legs. I know that he didnt do it intentionally, he was just trying to have fun and he messed up. Travis in in heaven with Aidan and Ru

Travis, Never forget how much you mean to us and to me, you helped in ways you will never know, I love you and I will always carry a pice of you in my heart. Straw Hat Maufia, REPRESENT~ luv ya Cortni
