Our Mother Our Mother gave us this Life She told us of survival She taught us which advice to heed She said that she was feeling fine She gave us all the strength of hers We knew that she was dying She's on her way to Paradise And now that she's forever gone In Loving Memory of Our Beautiful Momma
And taught us how to dream
We never had a single strife
In her magical moonbeam
And taught us how to learn
She fought our every rival
And counseled our concern
And how to say what's true
But when she was the one in need
We didn't know what to do
Although she was not whole
We knew her love would always shine
Though cancer tried her soul
And tried tried to keep us well
And though there were not any cures
She would not let us dwell
And she said we should be brave
But we could not help from crying
As she walked closer to her grave
Where she is not alone
Our Life we would have sacrificed
To give her back her own
But not in our memories
Our love for her will carry on
And echo through the breeze
