A whole year gone by….

Where has the time gone? A whole year…
It seems like yesterday, Lindsay, that you were here.
You loved the holidays and especially the snow…
A time for family, friends, and to be on the go!

Your laughter and smile would light the room up
And it was all we needed to fill up our cup!
But this year was different …you weren’t here.
And there were only memories & many a tear.

We had a “celebration” of a different kind..
Combining your two birthdays, (I didn’t think you’d mind).
One was for the day you were born and came to us on earth,
The other one was for, Dec. 24th, your “heavenly” birth.

It doesn’t seem possible that you are not here, Lin.
I sometimes feel your presence and your spirit deep within.
But still I wonder how could this have happened to us?
And how can we live forever without what was.

Our only way is to know and to trust..
Can we go on? Yes, we must!
That one day we WILL meet again,
And embrace one another and there will be no end!

The tears, the pain of losing you
Will only be a memory and then God will do
What He has promised from the start
You’re never far away,You are always in our heart…

I know you are celebrating, smiling, and dancing too.
I try to picture this and know that it is you,
I listen for your voice and see the signs you give
That even though we see you not, you really Do live!

For you are in the glory of the King!
And angels all around are rejoicing as you sing…
And you are walking on the streets of gold..
What a mighty & glorious sight to behold!

I will join you one day, my sweet child
And what may be years on earth, will seem like just a little while.
So we will keep living and wait on the Lord..
And do His work here, like we are part of the cord.

Lindsay, Happy Birthday in Heaven and Merry Christmas. It is one year since you left but it seems like yesterday. We love you so much, and carry you in our hearts. Love, Mom & Dad
