In Loving Memory of
Raymond J. Hicks

LOVE BETWEEN A FATHER AND A DAUGHTER

You loved me when I was helpless,
You loved me when I was bad
You even loved me when
I made everyone else sad.

You loved me through tough times
And when I turned away from you;
You loved me with a love
Like only a father can do.

As I grew older
I watched and learned
How to accept others
And how to love in return.

I loved you when you were helpless
I loved you when you were bad
I loved you when you were happy
I loved you when you were sad.

I even loved you when
You didn't know my name.
I loved you when
The end finally came.

I love you still
And will till time's end.
I know you love me, Dad
I can feel it in the wind.
