Gabrielle's Story

Just 20 short weeks for me to grow and then God's plan changed,
He told me how He needed me and my destiny was arranged.

God told me I only had a short time on this earth,
He told me I would leave just shortly after birth.

So I soaked up all of your touch and love to have with me always,
You will be with me for all of my heavenly days.

As I breathed my last breath you held me so tight,
And once I was gone you continued to fight.

Even though my family did all they could so this did not happen,
Up to heaven I went with my angel wings a flappin'.

With each of you, you will find I left a piece of me,
Deep within your heart is where I will be.

Please don't think of me as a loss, but only as a gain,
It's hard to understand but you have to get through the pain.

God's plan for me was so special that only I could achieve,
To complete the task I had no choice, but from this earth to leave.

Even though you really wanted and needed me to stay,
You gained an angel in heaven on that very special day.

Find the courage to fight and dry away the tears,
Let hope and faith heal you and replace all of your fears.

Please remember you filled me with all of your love,
And I will be watching over you from heaven up above.
