A CELEBRATION OF THE LIFE OF Gail Lalita Graville, My Partner Gail had many last names in her life. She wanted to change her name one last time to Gail Ryan to symbolize her final quest for happiness. She said that she lived for others all her life and now it was a time for her to live and love for herself. Gail was born in Ontario and raised in Calgary, Alberta. She had two brothers, and she lost both her parents when she was in her early twenties. She moved to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia where she raised her three children. In May she also became grandmother. I met Gail on November 7, 2004 and she moved in on October 14, 2005. It was the happiest time for us both and she opened my eyes and my heart. Gail was a happy, vivacious, and down-to-earth person. Her smile could brighten any room as it did my heart. She loved strongly and honestly. She had an amazing ability to find the positive in any situation. She loved Christmas and all that went with it – I’m glad she couldn’t wait and that we opened our presents early. Gail loved to live, laugh and love. The time we shared was brief but the connection was deep and full. Time seems cruel to us but I am so grateful that she chose me to settle down with and to love.
