DAD you are going to be missed. We love you... What can I say about a great man. A man who saved me. A man who worked hard to take care of his family... He had many friends and touched many lives. There are no words to discribe Donald J. Conaway My Father-In Law who I called DAD Donald Joe Conaway, Sr. age 65, of Golden, Missouri passed away Saturday, June 24th 2006 in his home. He was born January 9th, 1941 in Spur Texas, and is the son of Thomas James and Mary (Butler) Conaway. His parents preceded Donald in death. He was united in Marriage to Jo Ann Geer, who survives him, on March 6th in Arlington, Texas. He is also survived by three sons, Donald Joe Conaway, Jr. and his wife Kim of Yantis, Texas, Jackie Conaway and his wife Tammy of Gardendale, Texas, James Conaway and his wife Kimberly of Cassville, Mo. Donald has two brothers Lanis Conaway and Larry Conaway and his wife Connie of Arlington Texas: eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. During the first years of their marriage Donald raised his family by farming and was a leader in 4H. After retiring from farming he moved to Golden, Mo. He has worked at Golden Precision Machine for the last seventeen years as a boat motor mechanic. Some of his favorite past times were fishing and hunting with the kids, going to flea markets and helping others. He was a devout Christian, a member of Golden Church of God, and actively involved in Royal Rangers.
