In Loving Memory of
JOAN

dear darling mum, you were so brave when you died on friday and i'm so glad i was with you to help you through to the end. you have shown such courage over the last two years, spending more time in the hospital than out of it and still kept your sense of humour. i'm so glad that you hung on to see your great grandson born on the 14th december, i know it was a struggle for you to wait and i will tell him all about you when he is old enough to understand. the photos we took of our 4 generations are precious and are treasured. i thankyou for everything mum and i may be 46 but i now feel like a vulnerable child and want my mummy. i feel i am going mad with sorrow, i don't know what to do, i can't function and find solace in sleep. i love you so much mum and being with you when you died was the worst time of my life but i didn't want you to be alone, how you opened your eyes to look at me as you took your last few breaths i will never know, but i saw no fear and i know what you were trying to say. please be there when it's my turn. i love you mum, so glad you are at peace and without pain, your loving daughter, kirstin.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
