Shane was an outgoing and friendly person who looked like the kidder on the outside but was so serious on the inside. He loved too deeply and cared too strongly about everything in his life, but didn't have the skills to cope with the pain that seemed to plague him in his thirties. He made some bad choices in his relationships that he felt he couldn't get past, so he launched himself like a Roman Candle out of our lives and into the quiet space that he needed. His dad, brother and mother sure do miss that boy and think of him every single day of our lives.

The terrible pain has eased some over the years but I think of you every day. The tears rarely fall any more but the love is steady. I miss you son. carmen stuart, mother of Shane.
