In Loving Memory of
Frank Gownes and Doreen Jean Gownes
Mum and Dad, I have such happy memories of my childhood. Times were hard, but you still managed to save enough to take us to the beach for a holiday every year. We didn't have a car so you had to pack up enough stuff for 4 kids and take us on the bus. I remember making sand castles, donkey rides on the beach at Blackpool and collecting shells in little red buckets. I remember the love and support and the feeling of always having a home to go to, no matter how old I was. When I lived alone, I could call you at 3.30 am because I couldn't sleep and you would say, come over. Dad would make me a cup of tea and I would get into bed beside Mum and chat until I fell asleep. I would be awoken with another cup of tea, then I used to go off to work. I can't say how grateful I am to have had such great parents.
I love you and miss you both, but I know that you are always near. Your Daughter Jan xxxx
