Use this module as a resource for in-service training in the care of the client with Alzheimer's Disease. A general review of the nervous system focusing on the brain, memory disorders normal and abnormal signs of aging and other common disorders are reviewed. Specific roles and functions of the home care aide especially observation, reporting, and recording information are stressed. Safety and emergency procedures, abuse issues, and psychosocial influences are also addressed.
