Synopsis

"My Father's Ashes" is a book of poetry. It begins with the author driving his cremated alcoholic father's remains to the ocean to be scattered. Kuan Yin, the goddess of mercy, takes the form of poet Charles Bukowski to help the son examine the meaning of manhood and lead him to resolution and acceptance.
