In Loving Memory of
Blair C. Becker, Sr. (Dad, Grandpa)

I really wasn't sure what to say, that my own dad hasn't said already at Grandpa's funeral. But what I will say is from my heart, and what I've been feeling since then. I haven't seemed to grasp the right words to describe my emotions and the feelings in my heart and mind, so maybe this will help.

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of you, and you will always be in my heart. I can't even tell you why I needed to do this, but it just feels right. I know as time goes on, this feeling in my heart will ease. Every night I pray that you are in a happier place, with grandma, and I can only imagine the happiness you must be feeling inside. It must feel like a thousand birthdays, Christmas', anniversaries, and New Years wrapped up into an eternity.

*Some have said that when you die, your whole life flashes in front of you in a split second...I believe that the happyest moments of your life seem to last forever.*

I just felt like I needed to do this for you, and for my family, because we love you. I just wanted to end this memorial with this song below.

On Eagles Wings

Written by Michael Joncas
Based on Psalm 91

You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord
Who abide in the shadow for life
Say to the Lord: *My refuge, my rock
In whom I trust*

And He will raise you up on eagles wings
Bear you on the breath of dawn
Make you to shine like the sun
And hold you in the palm of His hand.

The snare of the fowler will never capture you,
And famine will bring you no fear:
Under His wings your refuge
His faithfulness your shield

And He will raise you up on eagles wings
Bear you on the breath of dawn
Make you to shine like the sun
And hold you in the palm of His hand.

You need not fear the terror of the night
Nor the arrow that flies by day
Though thousands fall about you
Near you it shall not come

And He will raise you up on eagles wings
Bear you on the breath of dawn
Make you to shine like the sun
And hold you in the palm of His hand.

For to His angels He*s given a command
To guard you in all of your ways
Upon their hands they will bear you up
Lest you dash your foot against a stone

And He will raise you up on eagles wings
Bear you on the breath of dawn
Make you to shine like the sun
And hold you in the palm of His hand.

And hold you, hold you in the palm of His hand
