In Loving Memory of
SCOTT RYAN HARTZEL


OUR SON SCOTT WAS KILLED WHILE RIDING IN A CAR WITH A GIRL FRIEND ON JANUARY 9TH 2000. HE SUFFERED SEVERE HEAD AND NECK TRAUMA,ALONG WITH INTERNAL INJURIES. THE GIRL WHO WAS DRIVING WAS PLAYING BASKETBALL WITHIN TWO WEEKS. SCOTT WAS OUR ONLY CHILD AND WAS EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD TO US . HE LOVED TO PLAY FOOTBALL, AND LIFT WEIGHTS.HE TOUCHED SO MANY PEOPLE'S LIVES IN THE 16 YEARS HE WAS HERE THAT THERE WAS 1500 AT HIS FUNERAL. THE FUNERAL DIRECTOR SAID IT WAS THE BIGGEST HE HAD EVER SEEN. WE STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY , OUR ONLY HOPE IS THAT WE WILL BE WITH SCOTT VERY SOON. IN THE MEAN TIME I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH EVERY ONE WHO HAS LOST SOMEONE THEY TRULY LOVE, A POEM THAT SCOTT
