In Loving Memory of
WALTER SCOTT KISTNER

Lung Cancer took you from us...your wife, your kids, grandchildren, great grand children and friends.

You loved so much in life...your heart overflowing with love for people who needed it. Your voice was a comfort to us...you taught us to sing. At family reunions we always sang WILL THE CIRCLE BE UNBROKEN. Now you're gone to heaven and we can't hear you sing. You taught some us the song HOW FAR IS HEAVEN. And now those words ring over in my mind. You were a father to me when you raised me as your own. You taught me right from wrong and good from evil. And I look at the stars at night and picture you walking on the shores of heaven and singing with the angels. We want you back...but are glad that you're pain is gone.

You took care of us and we always knew that we could go home when all hope was lost. But home isn't home anymore without you. When we laid you to rest even the preacher cried. I dream of you every night and wish that you could see my son grow up. So, pappaw... I have one thing to say to you besides I love you and miss you.

HOW FAR IS HEAVEN
A LITTLE GIRL STOOD WAITING FOR HER DADDY ONE DAY. IT WAS TIME FOR HER TO MEET HIM WHEN SHE HEARD HER MOMMA SAY..COME TO MOMMA DARLIN PLEASE DO NOT CRY...DADDY'S GONE TO HEAVEN WAY UP IN THE SKY. THE LITTLE GIRL STOOD TRIMBLING HER TEARS SHE COULD NOT CRY SHE LOOKED UP TOWARDS HEAVEN AND THEN SHE REPLIED.
HOW FAR IS HEAVEN WHEN CAN I GO TO SEE MY DADDY HE'S THERE I KNOW. HOW FAR IS HEAVEN LET'S GO TONIGHT...I WANT MY DADDY TO HOLD ME TIGHT.
HE WAS CALLED SO SUDDENLY THAT HE COULD NOT SAY GOODBYE BUT HE'S WITH JESUS AND WE'LL MEET HIM BY AND BY.
HOW FAR IS HEAVEN WHEN CAN I GO TO SEE MY DADDY HE'S THERE I KNOW. HOW FAR IS HEAVEN LET'S GO TONIGHT I WANT MY DADDY TO HOLD ME TIGHT.

I think I remembered all of that song. But pappaw...we love you and our lives will never be the same.

Love, Your Granddaughter Alicia
