It's been over a year now. Not only do we miss you more each day, but as each day after your death passes, we're discovering how incredibly you lived life. You helped without seeking thanks. You toiled without reward. You suffered immensely without seeking sympathy. You flourished without seeking recognition.
Our only consolation is that your blood runs through our blood. Our difficult task is to carry on your legacy by living our lives with the same honor that you lived yours. Of course, we cannot replicate our lives after yours. Success is a journey, not a destination. If we can heed your spirit as we continue on our life's journey, then we have succeeded. Please help us along the way though OK Dad?
Your grateful sons, John and Douglas Willems
