Sometimes, when I close my eyes, I feel you standing there. You're almost close enough to touch, And yet, I do not dare. I breathe you in and smile, Cause I feel you once again. But I know you cannot stay, With just a simple, hopeful grin. I wish you wouldn't leave me, Like you left me once before. With the selfishness of alcohol, You washed upon God's shore. And I love you unconditionally, The way that you loved me. Cause the tieme that I did have with you, Was worth more than eternity. In memory of James Adam Jenkins, killed in a car accident due to another person's drinking and driving. He was more than my best friend, he was my family. Love you, Adam.
